The 2014 Outlander will be available in three trim levels with a 2.4-liter in-line four cylinder engine offered with its ES and SE models. This engine makes use of valve timing electronic fuel injection and continuously variable valve lift timing technology and makes 166 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 162 foot pounds of torque at 4,200 rpm. The base engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission, Choose the Outlander GT and your SUV comes equipped with a 3.0 liter V-6 engine. This 24-valve fuel injected engine makes 224 horsepower at 6,250 rpm and 215 foot-pounds of torque at 3,750 rpm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Mitsubishi Outlander is a compact sport utility vehicle, a model that was introduced for the 2003 model year and updated four years later. Its next update will take place in 2013, when the 2014 Outlander hits the market. This vehicle is sold in front- and all wheel drive configurations, seats seven and will offer a hybrid edition for the first time too.
